Job Description:
An immediate full-time position is available for a project foreman to lead hourly and subcontractor crews for projects ranging in size from 50,000-500,000 SF. Project locations are typically within the greater metro Atlanta area. Job hours can vary between Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm to Monday-Saturday 7:00am to 5:30pm.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in the commercial drywall and acoustical trade including hands on experience. 2 years minimum experience of leading a crew(s) in a management or foreman role. Must be able to read and interpret all blueprints and drawings. Must be able to operate equipment required for our work scope, including but not limited to: Scissor lifts, boom lifts, forklifts or lulls. Minimum of OSHA 10 is required.
Requirements:
Foreman positions include but are not limited to the following:
- Efficiently run a project within budget
- Be on-site daily by 6:45am to organize and delegate daily tasks to crew
- Willing to commute to locations within an approximate 80-mile radius of Atlanta (Commutes in excess of 60 miles may be subject to travel time compensation)
- Capable of identifying potential issues and resolving in a timely manner
- Coordinate with other trades to complete scope of work in a flow consistent to project schedule
- Keep project on provided schedule and work with company project manager and superintendent to ensure project does not fall behind
- Capable of managing materials and notifying project manager of needs in a timely manner
- Working with superintendent to coordinate equipment needs in a timely manner
- Be capable of completing any required project paperwork as needed, including but not limited to: daily reports, extra work orders, etc.
- Able to identify workers who are not fulfilling duties and dismissing them if needed
- Capable of monitoring workers time and able to approve crews time sheets while working with office to make any adjustments or corrections if needed
- Ability to receive materials, verify materials received are what was ordered and counts are correct, and conveying information to office
- Must have oral and written fluency in English, and be able to communicate verbally in Spanish
Location: Greater Atlanta Metropolitan Area – No relocation packages are being offered at this time.
